Mineral Products Association chief executive steps down after two years due to personal reasons

AFTER nearly two years at the Mineral Products Association (MPA), chief executive Jon Prichard has announced he will step down for personal reasons. Mr Prichard will be leaving the organization and moving on with immediate effect.

According to a statement issued by the Association, the decision to change course at this stage has been heavily influenced by a number of challenges in Mr Prichard’s family circumstances that mean he would like to create the time and space to provide his family with the support that they need.

The statement added that the MPA Board would like to thank Mr Prichard for everything that he has done during his time with the MPA and wishes him well for the future.

As an interim measure, an Executive Management Committee (EMC) has been established to take responsibility for the ongoing and effective management of the MPA.

This will be chaired by Lex Russell in his capacity as MPA chair, supported by the MPA’s two executive directors, Diana Casey and Mark Russell, and MPA advisor Chris Leese.
