J O’Doherty Haulage purchase new Terex Finlay mobile crusher

Terex Finlay J-1170AS jaw crusher

London-based contractor reduces operational costs with J-1170AS jaw crusher

J O’DOHERTY Haulage have taken delivery of a new Terex Finlay J-1170AS jaw crusher for use at their North London-based recycling facility. Supplied by Finlay Plant South East, the machine is being used to produce Type 1 recycled aggregate.

With a detachable on-board sizing screen box fitted, the new J-1170AS crusher is producing recycled aggregates as a single unit, replacing the need for a crusher and screener which were previously used to produce the material.

James O’Doherty, owner of J O’Doherty Haulage, commented: ‘The new machine is performing well, bringing a range of benefits that are supporting the business. The main positive is the fact that one machine is doing the work of two, but the additional features, including less noise, dust and fuel consumption, really add up. We also continue to benefit from the service and support of Finlay Plant South East, who we have a long-standing partnership with.’

A central feature of the Terex Finlay J-1170AS model is a robust hydrostatically driven jaw chamber, which provides high capacity with large reduction ratios. The jaw chamber configuration can be set up specifically for quarry applications or processing construction demolition debris (via the hydraulic release chamber option).

The J-1170AS crusher also features a heavy-duty variable speed VGF and integrated prescreen that delivers impressive production throughput. The J-1170AS is the fourth crusher introduced to the J O’Doherty fleet by Finlay Plant South East.

Leon Sheehy, managing director of Finlay Plant South East, said: ‘This is a superb machine, which is really proving its worth for J O’Doherty.’
