Company takes next step towards planned spin-off with appointment of designated executive leaders
HOLCIM have taken the next step towards the planned spin-off of their North American Business, Amrize, with the appointment of the future company’s designated executive leadership team.
Jan Jenisch, chairman of Holcim said: ‘I am excited about our world-class executive leadership team bringing deep expertise and a proven track record of performance. The designated Amrize executive officers include:
Jan Jenisch, chairman and chief executive officer (CEO). Mr Jenisch has been a member of the Holcim board of directors since 2021 and has served as the company’s chairman since 2023 and as CEO from 2017 to 2024. Before joining Holcim, he was CEO of Sika from 2012 to 2017.
Ian Johnston, chief financial officer (CFO). Mr Johnston currently serves as CFO for Holcim North America, after successfully leading the function in the US and Canada.
Jaime Hill, president of Building Materials. Mr Hill currently serves as regional head of Holcim North America, and previously was CEO for Holcim in Mexico and Colombia.
Jake Gosa, president of Building Envelope. Mr Gosa was chief commercial officer for Beacon Building Products and brings 27 years’ experience in the building industry. He succeeds Jamie Gentoso who has decided to pursue opportunities outside of the company.
Nollaig Forrest, chief marketing and corporate affairs officer. Ms Forrest currently serves as Holcim’s chief sustainability officer and oversees corporate affairs and branding.
Steve Clark, chief people officer. Mr Clark was formerly chief human resources officer at Gainwell Technologies, Vista Outdoor, and the H.J Heinz Company.
Denise Singleton, chief legal officer and corporate secretary. Ms Singleton was formerly general counsel and secretary of WestRock Company, IDEX Corporation, and SunCoke Energy.
Sam Poletti, chief strategy and M&A officer. Mr Poletti currently serves as Holcim’s global head of M&A where he was instrumental in the company’s expansion in North America.
Mario Gross, chief supply chain officer. Mr Gross currently serves as chief operating officer of Holcim Building Envelope, following his role as chief procurement officer at Holcim.
Roald Brouwer, chief technology officer. Mr Brouwer currently serves as Holcim’s group head of decarbonization, and was previously director of energy transition technologies at Shell.
Meanwhile, Amrize will present their business, growth strategy, capital allocation priorities, and mid-term financial targets as a standalone company at their investor day in New York today, ahead of the planned spin-off from Holcim expected by the end of the first half of 2025. The event begins at 9:00am Eastern Time (13:00 GMT) and can be viewed virtually here.
