Hills Quarry Products to operate Wiltshire rail depot

Company secures lease and supply agreement at Royal Wootton Bassett Rail Depot

HILLS Quarry Products have secured a lease over Royal Wootton Bassett Rail Depot with effect from 30 April 2018.

The lease includes a supply agreement with Aggregate Industries who will continue to deliver a range of limestone products, via rail, from Torr Quarry in the Mendips to the rail depot site, with Hills taking over responsibility for the operation of the site along with sales and distribution of the aggregate products.

Peter Andrew, group director at Hills Quarry Products, said: ‘We completed the extraction of the current limestone reserve at our Shorncote Quarry in November last year and this operation enhances the range of limestone products that we can provide to our customers.’
