Haver & Boecker launch new washing plant

Hydro-Clean 1000 wash plant

Latest Hydro-Clean 1000 wash plant solution offers enhanced productivity and serviceability

HAVER & Boecker have launched their skid-mounted Hydro-Clean 1000 wash plant as a complete minerals processing solution. The new washing system has been specially designed to work in conjunction with a Tyler L-Class horizontal vibrating rinsing screen, giving quarry and mining operators added portability by allowing them to mount the two components on a custom skid structure.

‘We’re always looking for ways to solve our customers’ problems and improve their productivity and efficiency,’ said Karen Thompson, president of Haver & Boecker Canada. ‘By offering the Hydro-Clean 1000 wash plant, we’re saving producers from spending extensive time on engineering and manufacturing a structure for a wash plant. This gives them an opportunity to focus their time and money on improving profits elsewhere in their operations.’

By combining the Hydro-Clean 1000 system, a single-deck, linear-stroke, 16ft x 6ft Tyler L-Class horizontal vibrating rinse screen and a skid-mounted structure, Haver & Boecker say they have created a complete wash plant solution.

The Hydro-Clean unit processes up to 200 tonnes/h with short retention times and using minimal water and power. Taking feed material into its 40in vertical drum, the Hydro-Clean 1000 uses high-pressure nozzles (2,000 psi) – rotating at 90 revs/min – to remove silt and clay particles as small as 63 microns from mineral mixtures.

During the cleaning process, the washed material works its way down the Hydro-Clean 1000 unit’s drum and exits on to a discharge conveyor leading to the Tyler L-Class vibrating screen, where any remaining dirt or clay still adhering to the stone is removed as the screen fractionates the material. The horizontal screen uses a double-shaft overhead drive system, with direct-mounted motors, to provide multiple speed and stroke combinations in a compact design.

Haver & Boecker engineers had drawn on their extensive experience to design and build a skid structure suitable for use as a semi-portable system. In addition, the Hydro-Clean wash plant has been designed with serviceability features for optimum convenience and safety, including stairs, catwalks and platforms, for engineers to reach key points such as spray nozzles.
