Strategic partnership to help equipment operators improve productivity and reduce their carbon footprint

HIBOO, a benchmark company in the field of data and decarbonization, are entering into an association with Halomec, a British-based company long recognized for its expertise in the optimization of static and mobile plants in the UK. This strategic partnership aims to help UK and Irish off-highway equipment operators to meet the major challenges facing them in this field, notably by improving productivity and reducing their carbon footprint.

Halomec are expanding their range of services by integrating Hiboo’s fleet-management platform into their product and service portfolio. This will allow users, notably those renting out equipment, to gather data from equipment on to a single web-based dashboard, whatever the manufacturer or equipment type. By adapting to the specific needs of the British market, mainly driven by plant hire, Hiboo are helping to optimize the productivity and energy efficiency of off-highway fleets, and therefore enabling both rental companies and their clients to make more agile and efficient use of equipment.

Thanks to Hiboo, plant operators can access key indicators of utilization and efficiency, such as idling, fuel consumption, fault conditions, and real CO2 emissions, where reductions as high as 20% have been demonstrated. Halomec have considerable expertise in the field of heavy industry, mobile plant, and harsh environments, which makes them well positioned to deploy Hiboo solutions.

This strategic partnership with Halomec also means that the Hiboo platform will be optimized to meet the distinct needs of the UK and Irish markets. Although plateaued at present, the off-highway sector in the UK and Ireland is forecast to undergo accelerated growth, which will be driven by the urgent need for investment in transport infrastructure, energy, and housing projects.

Julian Athawes, managing director of Halomec, said: ‘We are delighted to be forging this alliance with Hiboo in the UK. Our close association with the UK and Irish off-highway sector and our understanding of the needs of its operators, will allow us to evolve a powerful resource for the UK market, with tailored local support. This alliance is absolutely aligned with Halomec’s strategy to further develop the service side of the business, complementing our traditional ancillary product installation and service business.’

Louis Petros, head of alliances and partnerships at Hiboo, said: ‘This partnership with a highly reputable company is part of our ambition to establish ourselves as a major player in the digitization of fleets of heavy equipment, with regard to decarbonization in Europe. With Halomec, we are strengthening our commitment to transforming the sector and helping our customers move towards a more efficient and more environmentally friendly use of equipment.’
