FM Conway appoint new chief executive officer
Joanne Conway succeeds Adam Green who has stepped down due to health reasons
JOANNE Conway has been appointed as chief executive officer (CEO) of FM Conway, just 18 months after becoming chair.
Ms Conway has taken on the additional role of CEO of the family-run business, which was founded by her grandfather Frank Conway in 1961, along with her current role as executive group chair.
She replaces Adam Green, who was appointed chief executive officer in 2020, but who has stepped down due to health reasons.
A statement issued by the company said: ‘We wish Adam well, and we’re grateful for his stewardship of the company in recent years.’
Ms Conway, daughter of late chairman and owner Michael Conway, has worked in the business for 22 years and was appointed chair in May 2022.
She has been a member of the board since 2011 and was previously managing director of the Aggregates & Asphalt division, with her tenure seeing FM Conway become the second-largest asphalt producer in the south-east of England.
