First Screencore Boxer delivered in Australia
Porter Group deliver tracked pugmill designed for high-capacity precision mixing, blending, and dosing
THE first Boxer precision pugmill mixer and blender from Northern Ireland-based manufacturers Screencore has recently been sold and delivered to a customer in Adelaide, by Australian distributors Porter Equipment.
One of Screencore’s latest developments, the Boxer is an advanced, environmentally focused tracked pugmill designed for precision mixing, blending, and dosing. A highly versatile machine that can be adapted to work in various mixing applications, it has been designed to add moisture content to roadbase materials and is also capable of undertaking cement stabilized applications and can even be fitted with a double-deck vibrating grid to screen off oversize material.
Amongst the Boxer’s key features is its belt feed hopper which delivers a uniformly proportioned feed on to the 1,200mm wide, twin-drive discharge conveyor. This 12m long conveyor also facilitates truck loading with the operator having full control of the material flow from the remote-control start/stop action or through the batch processing facility.
‘With a consistent material bed depth, the over-belt cement weigh hopper and the inline twin-paddle mixer box allows the user to literally dial-in material using the PLC automation,’ explained Screencore director Ciarán Ryan.
‘This is the first Boxer to be sold in Australia and we are sure that it won’t be the last. The feedback we’ve received from Porter’s area sales manager, Tim Sharad, and the service engineers, is that the Boxer is proving to be as effective as we said it would be and the customer is delighted with its accuracy and effectiveness.’
