Euro Auctions expand into the US

Euro Auctions in US

Northern Ireland-based  construction plant auctioneers acquire new auction site in Atlanta, Georgia

DROMORE-based Euro Auctions, the UK’s largest auctioneers of construction machinery and industrial equipment, have continued their global expansion with the acquisition of a new 65-acre auction site in Newnan, near Atlanta, Georgia, just one year after opening their previous new auction site in Brisbane, Australia.

Approximately 60 acres of the new site in the US is hard paved, making the facility ideal for presenting large quantities of construction machines and industrial equipment for auction.

Other on-site facilities include: a main drive-through auction hall; ample office accommodation; a check-in and sale day administration building; cafeterias; and two preparation and spray workshops where Euro Auctions staff can prepare equipment and machinery for sale.

‘Euro Auctions have long aspired to enter the US market but plans have always hinged on finding a suitable facility,’ commented Jonnie Keys, general manager of Euro Auctions.

‘This site was chosen because of the quality of the facility as well as its excellent location. It provides us with the unique opportunity to be located among the hub of the American equipment industry, which will be instrumental to the success of this venture.

‘We anticipate that the first sale at the new Atlanta site will be in the early part of 2013 and we then plan to hold regular auctions there.’
