Significant fleet order with Marubeni-Komatsu includes crawler excavators and dozers

INFRASTRUCTURE and highways contractors ECL Civil Engineering have deepened their business relationship with Marubeni-Komatsu through a new £10 million plant deal.

Steve Tysoe, managing director of ECL, and Brian Graham, managing director of Marubeni-Komatsu, have agreed to a 90-machine deal with a range of crawler excavators, including 40 Komatsu PC55 models, three Komatsu PW148 units, 24 PC138s, 10 Komatsu PC210 excavators, and two 19-ton D61 class leading dozers.

‘Our primary goal with this latest investment is to extend and replenish our fleet with the best equipment available in the market to ensure the safety and efficiency of our fleet operatives,’ commented Mr Tysoe. ‘Additionally, we aim to minimize CO2 emissions and continue to commit to greener construction practices.’

The new Komatsu machines for ECL are powerful, environmentally friendly, and known for their industry-leading fuel efficiency. Access to Marubeni-Komatsu’s specialist technology division will also ensure that the company maximizes carbon reduction opportunities.

Mr Graham said: ‘We are extremely excited to partner with ECL with this latest purchase in Komatsu cutting-edge technology. We will support ECL in maximizing the return on their investment through proactive machine and fleet support while delivering solutions to enhance the productivity of these machines.

‘We see this as the next stage of a positive long-term relationship, and we look forward to hearing the many success stories of the projects these machines will help deliver.’
