DUO and Terex successfully launch new washing product line

Hillhead 2012 saw the official launch of Terex’s newly formed washing division in conjunction with DUO who will represent the Terex Washing Systems (TWS) in England and Wales.

TWS, which has replaced the washing equipment offered by Terex's Powerscreen and Finlay brands, offers a broad product portfolio, including: sand wash and fines recovery plants, log washers, hoppers, feeders, conveyors, de-watering screens, static screens, mobile, static and modular rinsers; as well as the addition of combination plants and water-management systems.

Commenting on the Hillhead Show, Fintan McKeever, DUO director, said: ‘Following the recent increase in landfill fines tax we received a lot of interest in the latest version of the Aggwash, which we had on display alongside the new FM 200C compact sand plant. The Aggwash is an excellent mobile solution for those making initial inroads into washing providing not only a cost saving in terms of landfill tax but also creating additional revenue streams for businesses.’

Sharing his thoughts after the show, Sean Loughran, TWS global product line director, added: ‘With Hillhead being such a key industry event, not just in the UK but globally, this was the obvious choice for us to launch our new brand. We enjoyed three very busy days with customers coming from all over the world. It was an excellent springboard for our brand, product range and future developments. It was also a fantastic start to our continued relationship with DUO, sharing a stand with them proved to be very beneficial to our visitors providing them detailed product and application knowledge.’
