Doosan Bobcat EMEA unveil next-generation products
Wide range of new machines and equipment to go on display including Stage IV-compliant DX225LC-5 excavator
DOOSAN Bobcat EMEA will be showing new products from the company’s Heavy, Portable Power and Bobcat ranges at this year’s Plantworx. Among the highlights will be the new Doosan DX225LC-5 crawler excavator, 16.5-tonne DX165W-5 short-tail-wheeled excavator and Bobcat E17Z zero-tail-swing (ETS) canopy excavator.
Presented in a distinctive new machine styling scheme common to all new Doosan LC-5 generation excavators, the 21-tonne DX225LC-5 machine is powered by a six-cylinder, turbocharged Doosan DL06P water-cooled diesel engine, providing a power output of 124kW (166hp) at 1,800 rev/min.
The DX225LC-5 unit also offers convenience and lower costs by meeting Stage IV emission regulations through the use of cooled exhaust gas recirculation and selective catalytic reduction after-treatment technologies.
The new Stage IV-compliant DX165W-5 wheeled excavator is a short tail machine designed to work in tight spaces, particularly in urban areas or on narrow roads with heavy traffic. Featuring the same undercarriage as the DX160W-3 model, the DX165W-5 unit provides an optimal centre of gravity, thanks to its long wheelbase and weight distribution.
The excavator also features a new-generation of heavy-duty ZF axles, offering the best possible dynamic and static axle loads. It can lift 5.87 tonnes at 4.5m reach over the front (at 3m high) and 4.28 tonnes over the side.
Also on display will be Bobcat’s new range of rigid frame telehandlers, including the first UK showing of the T40.180SLP (18m) and T36.120SL (12m) machines. Both models are part of a choice of 11 new-generation telehandlers specially developed for the construction/rental markets, covering maximum lifting capacities between 2.6 and 4.1 tonnes and lifting heights from 6 to 18m.
Completing the Doosan Bobcat EMEA display will the latest generators, compressors, light towers and construction tools from the company’s Portable Power range, including the first showing of the new 7/41TTG compressor equipped with the latest on-board 8.5kVA generator.
