CHS Hire purchase new SMC lighting towers

Bristol-based equipment hire firm invests in 10 TL90 LED units from Morris Site Machinery

CHS Hire have bolstered their rental fleet with the addition of 10 new SMC TL90 lighting towers from Midlands-based Morris Site Machinery. Renowned for its robustness, reliability and low emissions, the TL90 unit provides up to 160 hours of uninterrupted operation.

CHS have specified the addition of a ‘dawn to dusk’ ECO sensor across the new fleet of TL90s, which allows the lighting towers to turn on and off automatically. This is a vital feature for customers as the majority of company’s business comes from local industry, where the shift patterns of workers means lights are left on all day in remote areas.

The plant hire firm has been trading in the rental industry for many years and company director Claire Bruce has clearly been impressed with the latest lighting tower additions.

‘Our previous equipment consisted of hand wind-up mast lighting towers so there was a desperate need to modernize and bring the fleet up to date,’ she commented. ‘I was stunned by the compact size of the TL90 and the clear and crisp light from all of the four 300W heads. Also, we have received great service from Stuart Selway of Morris Site Machinery throughout the buying process.’
