Cedarapids introduce new CRC1350S
New portable closed-circuit cone and screen plant designed for high production levels
CEDARAPIDS, a division of Terex and a global leader in modular, portable, and static materials processing equipment, have introduced the CRC1350S portable closed-circuit cone and screen plant.
Designed for high production while maintaining portability, the CRC1350S is said to be the largest portable closed-circuit cone and screen plant on the market today, yet remains highway permittable with a travel height of 14ft.
The CRC1350S is designed to deliver high production at lower costs per ton, with its 400hp TC1300X Cedarapids cone crusher being a key component in this success.
With improved kinematics and a large eccentric throw, this advanced cone crusher produces quality aggregates with superior shape and cubicity. The 7ft TSV horizontal screen complements the crusher and enhances production, with its high g-force oval stroke motion and variable slope operation allow it to outperform traditional horizontal screens.
The CRC1350S has numerous standard features designed to enhance the customer experience and operational efficiency, including an oversized cone feed hopper with an overflow chute, a straight-line under-crusher conveyor, a metal detector for enhanced safety, a hydraulically powered transfer chute, and various axle configurations to facilitate easy plant permitting in all states.
The plant is designed for fast set-up and operation, with easy-access maintenance platforms, a hydraulically folding walkway, and integrated emergency stop stations to ensure operators’ quick return to production.
Sales director Russ Burns said: ‘Our focus with the CRC1350S was to address what customers consistently tell us they need: higher production, lower costs per ton, and ease of mobility. This plant combines power, efficiency, and portability to meet those demands head-on.’
In a recent field test, the CRC1350S was utilized in a high-production railroad ballast application. The project involved processing drilled and blasted granite material into –2in railroad ballast.
Material was fed by a Cat 349 excavator into a Powerscreen 32in x 47in jaw crusher with a 5in closed-side setting, reducing the granite to –9in. From here, the material was conveyed to the Cedarapids CRC1350S, which was configured to produce three products: 2in x 7/8in railroad ballast, 3/4in stone, and 1/2in to dust.
The CRC1350S produced an estimated 425 tons/h, split across the three products, although Terex MPS say there is potential for even higher production rates with the use of a larger excavator and minor adjustments to the circuit.
The customer expressed great satisfaction with the CRC1350S’s performance in the rail ballast configuration, which highlighted the plant’s significant production capacity and ease of transport.
