CDE announce wash plant demo event in Texas
Company to host its second North American demonstration event at Metroplex site in Fort Worth
MATERIALS washing specialists CDE Global have announced a demonstration event in Fort Worth, Texas, from 27–29 October 2015. The event will take place at a sand and gravel pit operated by Metroplex Sand & Gravel, where a selection of equipment from the CDE portfolio will be operating.
This will include the M4500 modular washing plant, AggMax portable log-washer, A-Series VibroSync split dewatering screen, Counter Flow Classification Unit (CFCU), EvoWash 71 sand washing plant and an AquaCycle A600 thickener.
This will be the second demonstration event CDE have hosted in North America following a similar event in North Carolina in 2014. ‘We are looking forward to welcoming visitors to the Metroplex site in October and are very grateful to Keith Newell and the team at Metroplex for facilitating this event,’ said Joel Prince, CDE’s general manager for North America.
Commenting on his decision to choose a CDE wash plant, Mr Newell said: We were introduced to CDE at the 2014 ConExpo Con/Agg show, and shortly after this, a member of our team visited the GS Materials plant in North Carolina.
‘We were immediately impressed by the plant’s ability to manage gradation and silt cuts – producing a golf-course spec sand in the first pass. With conventional classifying equipment and sand screws, this is difficult to say the least.’
With the new wash plant for Metroplex currently approaching the end of its installation phase, Mr Newell commented: ‘The modularity and relatively small footprint of the M4500 is an obvious plus, and the time it has taken to come together has been shorter than we would have thought possible. The quality of equipment design and the strength of its manufacturing is truly remarkable as well, as is the precision with which the plant fits together.’
