Cara Mills joins ever-growing team at Geo
Appointment of new commercial manager brings wealth of industry experience as Geo Quarries look to expand
LEEDS-headquartered Geo Quarries have recently welcomed new commercial manager Cara Mills to their team.
Ms Mills, who has more than 25 years’ experience in the construction materials industry, is the latest member to join the ever-growing team at Geo, her appointment being a direct result of the company’s expansion programme.
Geo say the additional appointment of a commercial manager follows recent investments that will allow them to diversify into new geographical areas and increase their product portfolio.
Ms Mills (pictured) began her career in the construction industry in the 1990s and has worked for many major names, including Redland and Lafarge. During her time at Lafarge she was national commercial manager for asphalt.
More recently she worked for Hope Construction Materials, where she ran the Central Region, which at the time consisted of two limestone quarries, 62 ready-mixed concrete plants, two railheads and a landfill and recycling unit.
Commenting on her new appointment, Ms Mills said: ‘I’m delighted to have joined Geo at such an exciting time, with so many ambitious plans for expansion.’
