Bobcat launch new Stage V compliant E57W wheeled excavator
Latest machine offers stronger performance, improved fuel efficiency and easier serviceability
Bobcat have launched a brand-new Stage V compliant version of their E57W wheeled excavator. Powered by a Bobcat D24 Stage V emission-compliant engine that delivers 42.5 kW (57hp) of power at 2,400 rev/min and a maximum 202Nm of torque at 1,600 rev/min, the new six-tonne machine offers compact dimensions, high performance and enhanced operator comfort.
The quick availability of power on the E57W improves fuel efficiency whilst functions, such as engine auto-shut-off and auto-idle, further saves on fuel and reduces operating costs.
The Stage V engine is easily accessed by opening the tailgate, with all service points and maintenance checks conveniently accessible from ground level. The tailgate openings on the E57W wheeled excavator have also been optimized for improved airflow. Serviceability has been enhanced by adding an oil filler pipe and an automatic belt tensioner.
As with most Bobcat products, operator comfort is a prerequisite in the design of the new Stage V E57W, with key features including: a spacious pressurized cab with low noise (74dBA) and low vibration levels; LED lights; large side mirrors; and a powerful demisting system.
The latest E57W unit is also easy to operate, aided by a 7-inch touchscreen display and ergonomically placed controls, whilst the steering wheel can be positioned to suit the operator.
To help increase operator efficiency, sensitive, ‘low-effort’ joysticks provide smoother and safer machine operation, while proportional auxiliary flow ensures precise control when using different attachments.
