Assembled and delivered in just one day
SEW Eurodrive get Brammer Buck & Hickman customer back into production in record time
SEW Eurodrive have assembled and delivered an industrial gear unit, on behalf of Brammer Buck & Hickman, for an end customer in the sand and gravel industry in just one day following a gear failure.
The unit was ordered under SEW Eurodrive’s new ATO1 service that provides one-day assembly and delivery for situations such as this.
The parallel helical gear unit, from the company’s X-series range, with additional fan cooling, rated at 36,000Nm, was built to replace a failed unit on a trommel scrubber.
As the first stage in a washing operation that processes sand and gravel at a rate of 350 tonnes/h, the trommel is a critical part of the plant and Brammer Buck & Hickman needed a supplier that could quickly respond to their requirements and provide a solution to get the customer back into production.
Taking advantage of SEW Eurodrive’s new Assemble-to-Order services, with ATO1 being their premium one-day service, the customer’s plant was up and running again with minimal downtime.
A spokesperson for Brammer Buck & Hickman said they were highly satisfied with the service and delighted to be able to get the customer’s plant operational again in record time.
