Pair of high-efficiency Liebherr PR 776 crawler dozers power up AMM’s construction equipment fleet

AMM, one of Spain’s leading construction companies, have recently added two Liebherr PR 776 crawler dozers to their fleet as part of an expansion of the company’s equipment portfolio for the cost-effective delivery of more-demanding projects.

Based in Murcia, Spain, AMM specialize in civil engineering and major construction projects, covering a range of services spanning railway construction, hydraulic engineering, and industrial projects.

The two new Liebherr PR 776 crawler dozers complement the company’s existing fleet, which includes a PR 744, PR 746, PR 764 and PR 766, ensuring the company is well equipped for major construction projects.

The decisive advantages of the PR 776 were recently reported by one of AMM’s experienced machine operators who, for more than two decades, has exclusively operated dozers from other leading manufacturers. In his experience, the average fuel consumption of these machines was up to 90 litres/h.

So impressed was he with the high efficiency and power output of the Liebherr crawler dozers, that he has become a full convert to the German-Swiss marque.

According to Liebherr, the PR 776 is noted for its optimum efficiency and power transfer, making construction operations not just more efficient, but also more sustainable. And with an average fuel consumption of just 55 litres/h, this model is said to set new class-leading standards.

The first of AMM’s new Liebherr PR 776 crawler dozers has already completed 1,200h in a quarry near Murcia. Here, it has been used primarily for material extraction for railway construction, with the machine being used equally for pushing and ripping operations.

In the quarry, the efficiency and power output of the PR 776 have really stood out. With maximum power output for pushing and pulling, it is ideal for shifting large quantities of rock, with the hydrostatic drive ensuring stepless speed adjustment and continuous power transmission, even in difficult terrain. This allows precise and effective movement of material, while the Eco mode makes operation even more efficient.

The second PR 776 is being used for the restoration of a worked-out quarry near Ciudad Real, returning the terrain here to a near-natural state. Again, the Liebherr PR 776 offers significant advantages in this application, with the precision and mobility of the hydrostatic drive providing the driver with optimum support when modelling the terrain and filling in excavated pits.
