Keestrack strengthen south-east Asia region
Song Yik Chong appointed as area sales manager to develop business and grow sales
KEESTRACK, the Belgium-based manufacturer of diesel and electric mobile crushers, screens and stackers, have strengthened their sales team and expanded support for their dealer network with the appointment of Song Yik Chong as area sales manager for south-east Asia (SEA).
With more than 29 years’ experience within several multinational construction equipment companies, including Ammann, Caterpillar and Wirtgen, Mr Chong will bring additional knowledge and professionalism to the SEA market, where his main focus will be on business management, development and sales, including after sales.
Based in Singapore, Mr Chong will look to establish an extensive dealer network to cover the complete Keestrack product range in the SEA region and beyond. Besides south-east Asia, the area he covers will include Papua New Guinea, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Mongolia.
‘Song brings a huge knowledge in road construction which will benefit Keestrack as we grow our markets for existing and new products,’ remarked Keestrack’s chief executive officer, Frederik Hoogendoorn.
Commenting on his new role, Mr Chong (pictured) said: ‘I believe I can build on my network and relations, my long work experience within the construction industry, and my drive, to help Keestrack improve their position in the market.
‘We have a full package to suit all customers; whether they still depend on diesel-hydraulic, with load-sensing hydraulic technology, or are going fully electric, we can provide the best solutions.’
Mr Chong added: ‘Keestrack will keep growing their product range in width and depth in the coming years and I look forward being part of this innovative company.’
