Wienerberger appoint new operations director

Simon Nevitt succeeds Tim Thompson who has retired after more than four years with the company

SIMON Nevitt has been appointed as operations director of Wienerberger, effective 1 July 2018, following the retirement of Tim Thompson, who had been with the company for more than four years.

Mr Nevitt brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge gained from the past 10 years of his previous senior roles with Ideal Standard, a multinational bathroom, sanitaryware and plumbing fixture company.

Over the past couple of months, Messrs Nevitt and Thompson have been working closely together to ensure a smooth and structured transition.

Simon Nevitt (pictured), commented: ‘I’m thrilled to be taking on the role of operations director with Wienerberger, and I’m looking forward to helping develop the company’s position within the UK.

‘It’s been wonderful working with Tim over the past couple of months, and it is no question that he is going to be sorely missed. His structured approach and strong ethos is something that I will be sure to take into my new role, and I wish him the very best of luck in his retirement.’
