Volvo take century order
TANG’S Sunrise Investment Co. recent order for 100 Volvo machines was taken on the first day of the construction manufacturer’s sales promotion event in the Chinese city of Fuquing. The new machines add to the Chinese mining firm’s fleet of 17 large excavators, including two flagship 70-tonne EC700 BLC machines.
The deal with Volvo CE comprises: 75 EC360BLC excavators; 15 of the larger 46-tonne EC460BLC units and 10 EC290BLC crawler excavators. The machines will be used in the development of a large coal mine in Shanxi Province, China.
Volvo’s sales event, which ran for 10 days, also saw over 250 other medium- and larger-sized excavators ordered by a number of customers.
