Volvo CE going electric at Las Vegas trade show
Swedish company to showcase solutions for a changing industry at Conexpo-Con/Agg 2023
VOLVO Construction Equipment are building a one-of-a-kind booth experience at this year’s Conexpo-Con exhibition to help customers and other attendees be ready for an ever-changing business environment.
Under the theme ‘Change Starts Here. Be Ready For It’, the 55,000 sq ft Volvo booth will feature the company’s newest/most popular products, cutting-edge services and technologies, and two operating arenas where show attendees can test drive electric excavators and wheel loaders
‘We are committed to being a fossil free company by 2040, but words will not reach targets. Only moving from words to action will,’ said Melker Jernberg, president of Volvo CE.
‘There is no time to waste and that´s why we say ‘Change Starts Here’ because as we are demonstrating technology [it] is developing fast and that’s where ‘Be Ready for It’ comes in. At Conexpo we want to help our customers be prepared for the change by showcasing our wide range of commercially available electric machines packaged with related charging infrastructure and other sustainable power alternatives.’
Demonstrating their sustainability credentials alongside their longstanding commitment to decarbonization, Volvo CE will be showcasing their electric line-up expansion with the 23-ton EC230 electric mid-sized excavator and DD25 electric asphalt compactor.
The equipment manufacturer will also provide a glimpse into the future of the construction industry with the display of autonomous concepts, the ‘world’s first hydrogen fuel cell articulated hauler’, a remote-controlled unit, and a range of all-new customized services to help more customers reach their own efficiency and carbon reduction goals.
Among the other novelties on show will be Volvo CE’s upgraded L350 wheel loader and the company’s next series of excavators, with a brand-new model to be unveiled on the morning the Conexpo show opens (14 March).
Existing products, such as Volvo excavators, wheel loaders, and haulers, will also be on display with product experts ready to answer attendees’ questions. Other Volvo Group companies will be represented in the Volvo CE booth, including Volvo Trucks, Volvo Penta, and Volvo Financial Services.
