Volvo CE bring R100 to worldwide market
Proven 95-tonne class rigid hauler now equipped with Cummins Stage V/ Tier 4 Final engine
VOLVO CE have expanded the distribution of their proven 95-tonne (105-ton) R100 rigid hauler thanks to the addition of a 783kW (1,075hp) Cummins QST30 Stage V/Tier 4 Final certified engine, allowing it to enter the strictest emissions regulated markets and opening up worldwide distribution.
First launched in 2018 and initially only available in less-regulated markets, the 60.4 cubic metre (79 cubic yard) capacity R100 is the largest rigid hauler in the Volvo CE line-up and promises to help drive down operating costs for customers by boosting productivity, fuel efficiency, operator comfort, and uptime.
With a focus on helping customers achieve production targets faster whilst using less fuel, Volvo CE say the new rigid hauler is designed for surface mining and quarrying applications where operational costs and safe operations are critical.
Uptime and productivity are centred on the range’s durable design that promotes high component protection and longer lifecycles. The hauler also boasts a competitive power-to-weight ratio, effective gearing and weight distribution that gives the tractive effort to allow the machines to traverse steep slopes in complete control.
With its high capacity and hauling speeds, new V-shaped body, efficient hydraulics, intelligent monitoring systems, and comfortable operator environment, the R100 hauler is designed to move more material in less time and is said to be quick and simple to operate and maintain.
