United Plant Services join the MPA

United Plant Services

Plant service and maintenance firm furthers its capabilities with industry associate trade body membership

TO further improve the standard of service they offer their clients, plant machinery service and maintenance partners United Plant Services (UPS) have joined the Mineral Products Association (MPA) as an industry associate.

Now operating as one of the MPA’s most recent recruits, the new association will help UPS to stay better informed and updated regarding essential industry information and relevant changes to legislation, while also presenting a platform for the company to have its own subjects raised and discussed.

UPS have been in operation for more than 25 years, providing a nationwide network of plant machinery engineers, capable of maintaining and servicing all brands and models, from two major hubs in the North and Midlands.

A desire to further company growth and add to UPS’s existing portfolio of attributes has led to the pursuit of additional capabilities, including this latest association with MPA.

Commenting on the company’s membership, Gordon Dick, national business development manager, said: ‘At UPS, we provide essential plant machinery services and build solid relationships with clients whose business successes are often reliant on working effectively and legally within these challenging industries.

‘Fast-changing legislation can affect their businesses as well as ours, so by being part of an association such as the MPA, we are better positioned to perform our own practice appropriately, while ensuring it also conforms with our clients.

‘Furthermore, by having an improved understanding of the issues affecting our industry, and with the support of the MPA, we’re able to influence the direction of matters relevant to the services we provide.’

Mr Dick continued: ‘The MPA believes that together, members can become stronger forces than individually, and that by accessing its services, which focus on influence and participation; professional support and advice; information and statistics; events and networking; and standards and best practice, members can benefit from the expertise of other MPA family members.

‘I’ve every confidence that bringing this positive relationship into the UPS business strategy will add tremendously to an already proficient portfolio of services, and we keenly anticipate extending our new capabilities to existing and future clients.’
