Two new products from Controls Group
The new range of PILOT 4 compression machines feature energy-saving technology that allows accurate oil flow control, resulting in no oil dispersion, silent operation, cold oil temperature and low energy consumption.
The test cycle with closed-loop digital feedback is performed by simply pressing the start button. The load-time graph and the actual load rate are displayed in real time during the test.
A control board reads and converts the load on a scale with more than 131,000 points for each channel. A second test frame can be controlled by fitting a pressure transducer or load-cell to the second channel and a distribution block to the hydraulic circuit. The operator interface is via a touch screen with icons for ease of use.
The four-column, high-stiffness welded frame conforms to EN 12390-4. The load is transmitted to the sample via a robust self-locking ball seated in an oil bath. The load test chamber is large enough to house rectangular load platens for block testing if required.
A wide range of optional accessories can be fitted to the compression machine for testing cement samples, indirect tensile tests on cubes, cylinders and pavers.
The new 76-B0077/B Bitumix automatic laboratory mixer has been designed to satisfy standard bituminous mixture testing requirements.
The mixer comprises a horizontal stainless steel mixing container with helical mixing shaft. Its main features include:
