Turbo VSI crushers from Cemco Inc.
With the ability to process materials up to 6in in diameter, the Turbo 128 V-Twin VSI crusher is among the largest models in Cemco Inc.’s complete line of vertical-shaft impact crushers.
The crusher is suited to the production of 11/2in aggregate rock commonly used in concrete for road-building applications. Additionally, the Turbo 128 is fully customizable to allow production of several types of aggregate materials, opening it up for use in a variety of industries, including, mining, recycling and energy production.
Driven by a dual-drive, optimally balanced V-Twin motor design, the Turbo 128 VSI crusher offers greater power input and higher product output. The 900hp crusher offers production capabilities up to 1,000 tons/h and features advanced internal components and operation on the principles of centrifugal force.
Material enters the crusher through the wear-resistant adjustable feed tube and drops on to an impeller table. The centrifugal force directs the materials from the impellor and casts it against a stationary, abrasion-resistant anvil. The material shatters along natural impact points, resulting in uniform, cube-shaped material with minimal ‘slabby’ product.
The Turbo 128 features heavy-duty self-aligning spherical roller bearings, allowing it to handle dynamic loads up to 366,000lbs. Designed to be fully customizable to suit each individual customer’s application and required material output, the combination of rotor size, type and speed and other configurations determine the final product size produced by the Turbo 128 V-Twin.
The crusher is equipped with a shoe table rotor and anvil ring. A rockshelf anvil is available for the processing of low to moderately abrasive material. As it can produce a consistent cubical product, the Turbo 128 V-Twin provides higher production of saleable material with less waste. In addition to being more efficient and economical, the Turbo 128’s consistency proves especially helpful in meeting ever-changing specifications. Uniformly graded cubical products provide stronger asphalt in comparison with elongated material.
With minimal maintenance requirements and high-quality construction, the Turbo 128 is designed for economical ownership and operation. The drive motors are installed at the same end as the crusher to reduce cyclical vibration, extending bearing life.
In addition, the design allows for easier belt tensioning. The unit’s upper and lower double-row spherical-bearing pedestal system is said to offer the longest operational life of any VSI crusher, thanks to Cemco’s customized lubrication system. The system is designed to maintain the proper quantity of clean, cool oil on the bearings, reducing maintenance and repairs while increasing longevity.
Furthermore, the Turbo 128 VSI unit is equipped with a hydraulic lid lifter to provide easy access for regular inspection and maintenance. The crusher is offered in a trailer-mounted configuration to increase portability and convenience. Other options include: a water-flush system designed for wet or sticky material; dust-control systems; diesel motors; and automation software.
The Turbo 80 VSI crusher is an efficient, highly productive machine capable of processing a variety of aggregate materials and minerals. Available in two models, the crusher offers a mid-sized option powerful enough to process materials up to 4in in diameter into a high-quality product. Fully customizable, from internal components to portable or stationary configuration, the standard Turbo 80 model has a 400hp single-drive motor capable of producing outputs up to 275 tonnes/h.
The dual-drive version has up to 600hp and offers production capabilities up to 400 tonnes/h. Material enters through the wear-resistant adjustable feed tube at the top of the crusher and drops on to an impeller table or closed rotor, depending on internal configuration.
The centrifugal force (at a rate of 500–1600 revs/min) directs the material from the impellor and casts it against a stationary, abrasion-resistant anvil. The material shatters on natural impact points, resulting in uniform, cube-shaped material and delivering minimal slabby products. Heavy-duty self-aligning spherical roller bearings help the unit handle dynamic loads of up to 163,000lbs.
Specifically designed for highly abrasive materials, the optional SuperChipper rotor and anvil ring combination is designed for customers processing material such as basalt, cement clinker, glass, abrasive quarry rock and granite. Alternatively, the Turbo 80 VSI crusher can be equipped with a shoe table rotor and rockshelf anvil for low- to medium-abrasive material. Additional combination options are available, providing further customization for various materials and customer requirements.
By producing a consistent, well-shaped product, the Turbo 80 ensures higher production of saleable material with less waste. Cemco provide VSI crushing equipment in more than 27 countries with a complete line of products ranging from the Turbo 35 to the Turbo 175, all available in diesel, electric, stationary and portable options.
