Top award for Breedon Aggregates
Breedon win coveted ‘Best Construction & Materials PLC’ trophy in 2014 Stock Market Awards
BREEDON Aggregates have won the ‘Best Construction & Materials PLC’ award in the 2014 Stock Market Awards, run by Shares magazine in association with KPMG.
The UK’s largest independent aggregates business beat off competition from four other leading contenders to win the coveted trophy, which was presented to group chief executive Simon Vivian at an awards ceremony at the Park Lane Hotel in London.
Breedon were presented with the award in recognition of their outstanding performance over the past year. Nominations were secured through votes from Shares magazine readers and StockMarketWire subscribers, and via invitations to company directors, brokers and financial PR consultancies.
Commenting on the award, Breedon’s chairman, Peter Tom (pictured), said: ‘We’re delighted that Breedon’s achievements have been acknowledged in this prestigious award. We’re proud to share it with all of our 1,000 employees in England and Scotland, because it’s their dedication and hard work that made it possible.’
