Third-generation Haver Niagara Hydro-Clean

SINCE 1998, the Haver Niagara Hydro-Clean has been successfully marketed as an effective system for washing materials and building products that are heavily laden with clay and loam.

Now Haver & Boecker have launched their third-generation system and the first two Haver Hydro-Clean 1000 III machines have recently been installed for a customer in Alaska.

According to the company, the objective of the third-generation Hydro-Clean system was to simplify the function of the machine and reduce the number of components required in order to offer a reduced price for customers.

A reduction in the machine dimensions, so that it could fit inside a cargo container while still maintaining its functionality, was another key aim of the overhaul.

However, the proven benefits with respect to reduced operating costs have not changed. The system still requires just 0.1–0.2 cubic metres of water per hour in circulation to wash 1 tonne of heavily soiled input material using minimal energy consumption of 0.3–0.5kWh.

Haver & Boecker say that with the optimized technology, the machine now has a minimal impact on the environment, while still allowing the extraction of saleable products from heavily soiled reserves.
