CEA and UKTI organize ‘high-impact’ UK Pavilion at upcoming construction equipment show in Paris

THE Construction Equipment Association (CEA), in conjunction with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), has organized a ‘high-impact’ UK Pavilion at the forthcoming Intermat exhibition, which takes place in Paris from 20–25 April. The dedicated Pavilion will feature 19 UK exhibitors comprising construction companies, industry suppliers and UK associations.

Joanna Oliver MBE, director of global programmes at the CEA and organizer of the UK Pavilion, said: ‘It’s great that we are able to help so many UK companies at Intermat and even better that we can do it with the support of UKTI.’

Ground-Guards will use the Paris show to launch their all-new MaxiTrack temporary roadway system. This new addition to their well proven range of plastic ground-protection systems combines extra-heavy-duty strength with a special lightweight design for ease of handling. At just 42kg each, the MaxiTrack panels weigh little more than standard Ground-Guards panels but are twice as thick and three times as rigid.

Overlapping flange joints allow the MaxiTrack system to be bolted together to make highly supportive temporary roadways, car parks or site compounds, whilst a new tread pattern provides excellent traction for vehicles and promotes easy cleaning between uses. A full range of modular accessories is also available, including corner panels and clip-on safety barriers.

Sensor specialists Fozmula have announced that they will be launching a new range of liquid level sensors at Intermat. The new sensors feature Fozmula’s proven capacitance technology, allowing them to provide a continuous output of fuel level without any moving parts such as floats or swinging arms. A custom-built demonstrator will allow visitors to see the sensors in action.

Fozmula are also hoping to launch their new extended temperature range oil level sensor, the T/LL400. This capacitance-type sensor is capable of maintaining accurate oil level sensing (±2%) between –40°C and +125°C.

Off-Highway Research will be present at Intermat where all of their key international staff will be available to discuss the latest market developments and to present the company’s latest databases and research reports. In addition, the latest database programmes will be on display, including the International Database Service, the Chinese Database Service, and the Indian Database Service.

The Plantworx 2015 construction machinery show will also be exhibiting in the UK Pavilion. For visitors who want to see construction plant and machinery demonstrated in as near as possible realistic working conditions, the second Plantworx construction equipment exhibition, hosted by the CEA, will take place from 2–4 June 2015 at Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome, Leicestershire.

Other UK Pavilion exhibitors will include: EDGE Innovate, who specialize in the design, manufacture and distribution of trommels, shredders, stockpilers, loaders and picking stations; Gate 7, who specialize in the supply of vehicle branding, safety, warning and instructional decals; GKD Tecknik who manufacture SiteGuard proximity warning systems; sensor technology and safety systems specialists Prolec; volumetric concrete mixer manufacturers Nurock Mixers; and bespoke auto electrical safety equipment manufacturers Amber Valley.

The full line-up of UK Pavilion exhibitors at Intermat 2015 comprises: Amber Valley; Ashtree Glass; ATP Industries Group; BSP International Foundations (BSP); Construction Equipment Association (CEA); Edge Innovate NI; Fozmula; Gate 7; GKD Technik; Ground-Guards; Interpart (UK); Kay-Dee Engineering Plastics; Miniveyor Products and VAF Air; Nurock Mixers; Off Highway Research; Plantworx; Pro-Dig Europe; Prolec; and Resale Weekly.
