Steelwrist celebrate 20 years of excavator efficiency
Swedish OEM marks two decades of tiltrotator design innovation and business success
STEELWRIST, a global manufacturer of tiltrotators, quick-couplers, and work tools for excavators, are celebrating their 20th year in business. Founded in 2005, the Sweden-headquartered company has grown from a small newcomer to the global leader that it is today and has delivered products to thousands of customers worldwide over the last 20 years.
Moving forward, Steelwrist's focus remains the same as when they were founded: to develop, manufacture, and sell tiltrotators, quick hitches, and related products that help make excavators more efficient, safer and productive.
In the last few years, the company has significantly expanded its product portfolio, organizational structure, and global presence, solidifying its position as a market leader in the industry. The journey of innovation continues, and in 2025, the company is set to launch several new products – all designed to enhance the productivity and efficiency of excavators further.
First, Steelwrist’s latest tiltrotator XTR20 (launched in 2024) will be followed by two brand-new models, the XTR15 and XTR23, which form part of the company’s third-generation tiltrotators range. These new models will come with all the features that were presented when the XTR20 was launched, including OptiLube and LockSense.
Secondly, Steelwrist state that they will expand their SQ technology to excavators under six tonnes with the introduction of the SQ40 coupler. The SQ40 unit allows for quick and effortless changes of high-flow-powered work tools for smaller excavators, providing the same efficiency and convenience as the larger SQ coupler sizes.
The SQ40 will be complemented by a range of powered work tools specifically optimized for this interface. All new products will be shown on the Steelwrist stand at Bauma 2025 in April.
