South African factory works through Christmas
Pioneer Pump’s South African subsidiary help mines stay operational during wet season
Pioneer Pump Pty, the South African subsidiary of Pioneer Pump, like most South African factories had planned to close their doors well before Christmas so the team could have a well-earned break after an amazing first year.
The plan has to be changed, however, when many mines that were suffering from flooding due to torrential rains kept placing orders for pumpsets and expected delivery as fast as possible.
Because of this situation, Pioneer decided to effectively postpone the holiday and worked right through to New Year’s Eve to make sure all the pumpsets were delivered on time to the mines.
Over 16 engine-driven dewatering pumpsets left the factory doors in December, a record month for the new factory and a firm testament to the team in Pioneer Pump South Africa.
