SMT GB announce the acquisition of Agg-Pro
Volvo CE dealer targets crushing, screening, environment, and recycling as key growth area
SMT, the exclusive dealer of Volvo Construction Equipment in Great Britain, have announced the successful acquisition of Agg-Pro Ltd, specialists in the supply, service, and support of crushing, screening, and washing equipment machinery to the aggregate, processing and recycling sectors.
Agg-Pro, who are known for representing key brands such as McCloskey, GIPO, Jonsson, Lippmann, Tesab, McCloskey environmental, CRS NI and MWS, will operate as a subsidiary of SMT GB, to retain focus on serving their customer base.
Geoff Caves, chairman of Agg-Pro, said: ‘Over the past three years, we have put in significant effort to prepare the business for future growth. After careful consideration, we have chosen to sell the business to SMT, viewing this as a key step to unlock Agg-Pro’s potential as an industry leader. I am confident this is the right step with a strong cultural fit.’
Steve Peterson, managing director of Agg-Pro, added: ‘Agg-Pro is the product of decades of work by Geoff Caves and his team, and we are now in a position to grow even further with the assistance of SMT GB.
