Senior executive changes at Holcim (Schweiz) AG
Kaspar E.A. Wenger designated chairman of the board and succeeded by Gerd Aufdenblatten as cluster-CEO
AFTER more than 20 years at Holcim (previously Holderbank), including more than 10 years of operating responsibility for Holcim (Schweiz) AG as well as responsibility for Central Europe, Kaspar E.A. Wenger is to take on a more strategic role.
In the framework of the progressing merger between Holcim and Lafarge, Mr Wenger will become designated chairman of the board of Holcim (Schweiz) AG with effect from 30 June 2015 and will hand over his responsibilities as area manager for Central Europe (Switzerland, South Germany and Italy).
Holcim say Mr Wenger is well equipped for this position and will play a key role in supporting the activities of LafargeHolcim in Switzerland specifically.
Meanwhile, Gerd Aufdenblatten, currently chief financial officer (CFO) of Holcim Central Europe, will replace Mr Wenger and become cluster-CEO. A successor for the position of CFO will be announced in due course.
