SANY elevate job site safety and efficiency
Heavy equipment manufacturer introduces new cab designs and EVI technology across its excavator and telehandler range
SANY UK are strengthening their commitment to operator safety and job site intelligence with the launch of improved cab designs and an integrated EVI (equipment visibility intelligence) system across their range of excavators and telehandlers. These latest innovations demonstrate SANY’s ongoing investment in protecting operators, reducing job site risks, and helping customers work smarter and more efficiently.
The company’s new-generation operator cabs are designed for maximum protection and comfort, providing a safe and secure environment for daily operations in demanding conditions such as waste management and demolition.
Over the past year, SANY say they have redefined the operator experience with a next-generation cab across their 13-tonne-and-above excavator portfolio, along with major upgrades to the OEM's mini and midi range in response to operator feedback to enhance comfort, performance, and safety.
Key safety features of the new cab designs include: ROPS and FOPS certified structures; redesigned windows to provide a broader field of view, minimizing blind spots.; and a 360-degree view safety camera with optional blind spot monitoring and an internal driver monitoring system.
The latest operator cabs also feature travel alarms/warning beacons, a battery disconnect switch to protect against theft, battery drain, and electrical fires, and an ergonomic control layout for enhanced precision and reduced fatigue-related errors.
With SANY’s recently launched range of telehandlers, a new load management system now monitors the machine's load to prevent instability. When carrying loads, it limits speeds for safety and better load retention.
The telehandler cabs also feature a reversing camera with a distance sensor, which activates automatically when the reverse gear is engaged. A safety switch prevents any vehicle movement if the operator is not seated. In addition, hose burst safety check valves are fitted on all lift cylinders to stop collapse in case of failure or damage.
‘SANY has always put safety first, and our latest cab upgrades are a direct response to customer feedback and evolving global safety standards,’ said Jon Smith, product manager at SANY UK. ‘Our goal is simple: ensure every operator can work confidently and go home safely.’
In 2024, SANY unveiled EVI, their smart fleet and safety management platform, which is now installed as standard across their range of machines, including electric models.
The EVI platform delivers real-time insights and intelligent monitoring tools that help owners protect their machinery investments, reduce risks, and maintain full control over their fleet.
With EVI, SANY owners benefit from advanced location tracking, movement alerts, and work overtime notifications, ensuring immediate response to potential threats such as theft, unauthorized use, or unexpected activity.
The smart technology is installed as standard on all new SANY machines and offers a choice of three-year or five-year subscription plans, making it an accessible and powerful tool for businesses of all sizes. Its user-friendly interface allows operators and fleet managers to monitor key metrics, set custom alerts, and access machine health data – all from a single platform.
Major safety and security features of EVI include: live GPS tracking with geo-fencing capabilities; unauthorized movement alerts; and remote diagnostics and maintenance planning.
SANY’s integration of EVI is part of their broader strategy to deliver smarter, safer, and more connected machines. As job sites become increasingly data-driven, sophisticated platforms such as EVI provide the tools necessary for fleet operators to stay ahead of the curve – maximizing uptime, minimizing productivity loss, and protecting the bottom line.
