Samson launch new materials feeder
Latest MF0814T model is a tracked derivative of the unique Samson material feeder principle
SAMSON Materials Handling, formerly known as B&W Mechanical Handling, have unveiled a new tracked derivative of their unique material-feeder concept. Developed in conjunction with mining and mineral products customers, the Samson MF0814T is said to offer unrivalled flexibility and market-proven high performance and reliability.
Many of Samson’s customers require the large holding capacity of up to 50 tonnes offered by the standard MF0814W, combined with operational durability and accuracy in discharge control.
The Samson Material Feeder MF08 series is suitable for continuous-use, heavy-duty applications, including impact loading from articulated dumptrucks and large loading shovels.
Suitable for material with bulk densities up to 2.6 tonne per cubic metre and lumps up to 400mm, typical materials handled include: limestone; coal and coke; raw slag; alternative fuels; clays; and shale and heavy mineral ores.
The MF0814T feeder is self-propelled and operates via an integrated diesel power supply, offering high levels of flexibility on site. Self-steered via an umbilical control, the unit can be deployed quickly and independently for greater utilization and productivity.
