Freight Transport Association conference to cover key road transport safety developments
MANAGERS responsible for health and safety within road transport logistics operations can hear from industry experts, regulators and enforcers on key developments at the Freight Transport Association’s Safety in Logistics Conference, which takes place on Wednesday 12 June in Coventry.
The conference is designed to provide an update on industry initiatives, Health and Safety Executive (HSE) strategy, best practice and enforcement focus areas.
Key sessions at the conference will include:
- HSE strategy
- Industry initiatives – including safety performance benchmarking
- Coupling and uncoupling of articulated vehicles
- Manual handling
- HSE cost recovery
- Load security enforcement and good practice
- Reversing vehicles
- Managing road risk.
A special ‘early bird’ rate of £285 plus VAT is available for places booked before 30 April.
Thereafter, places will be available to FTA members at £325 plus VAT for the first delegate and £275 plus VAT for subsequent delegates, and to non-FTA members at £385 plus VAT for the first delegate and £345 plus VAT for subsequent delegates. Bookings of six or more will pay only £260 + VAT per delegate.
