Robust bearings from NTN-SNR
NTN-SNR have a wide range of spherical roller bearings specially designed for the quarrying, extraction and mining industries. Designed for use in milling and crushing applications, the company’s self-aligning roller bearings can be fitted with a solid steel or solid brass cage and are available in a broad range of sizes (up to 1,000mm).
Known as the EF800/UA Series, these bearings are developed for high vibration use, offering maximum rigidity as well as shock and vibration resistance. The cage is guided on rolling elements and there is no seizure effect in the event of thermal expansion. In addition, the bearings benefit from longer service life thanks to an optimized load capacity.
NTN-SNR also offer a sealed version of their roller bearings, which can be fitted on standard housings, reducing maintenance time and preventing contamination while improving grease and bearing life.
Also available from the company is a large range of cast-iron self-aligning bearing units with several types of housing, including pillow block, flanged, take-up and cartridge or hanger units. They are supplied pre-assembled, re-lubricatable or with a fitted insert lubricated for life.
NTN-SNR’s pillow block bearings consist of a ribbed body and regulation disk to offer improved heat dissipation. A range of seal systems is available, including two-lip seals in two parts, felt strip seals, V-rings, high-performance TA Taconite seals and labyrinth seals (200°C, round cord) as standard solutions.
The pillow block bearing has a grease drain hole for all housing types and comes with anti-corrosion protection. NTN-SNR can supply a complete range of standard bearings for all equipment (eg tapered roller bearings, cylindrical bearings etc), together with specials models adapted to specific applications on request.
As well as bearings, the company has also developed greases for different bearing applications (high load, high temperature etc) and lubricant solutions such as single-point automatic lubricators and multi-point centralized grease systems.
To optimize equipment uptime, NTN-SNR provide technical assistance for mounting/dismounting bearings, diagnosis of damaged bearings and in-situ training on clients’ own applications.
