New mini crusher for testing rock and aggregate samples in laboratories
The Crush Force Mini Cone 250 is now available in the UK, following a strategic joint venture between Tamworth-based Crushers-UK, and South African dealer C&E Engineering Pty Ltd. The reciprocal, exclusive dealership contract will also enable C&E Engineering to supply Crushers-UK’s latest City Jaw 1830 mobile tracked jaw crusher in South Africa.
The new crusher will deliver substantial cost savings to quarrying operations that involve testing rock and aggregate samples in laboratories.
Greg Shipley, director at Crushers UK, said: ‘The Crush Force Mini Cone 250 crusher is set to take the UK industry by storm. It is based on a revolutionary concept that has fewer wearing parts, more features than its rivals and represents the ultimate in user-friendly equipment.’
The 250 Mini Cone can reduce up to 16mm feed to a 10mm mesh in a single pass. The final product is suitable for ball or rod mills, laboratory pulverizers, and gravity concentration tests, such as tables, sink float or spiral concentration, sizing analysis and sampling.
The new product has specifically been designed for laboratories and pilot plants to provide an operation comparable to that obtained by reduction crushers. The crushing is done by pressing the concave against the mantle without spinning and will give wear liners cost-saving durability, as there is no unnecessary friction in the chamber.
Another significant feature of the design is that it does not use centre shafts, which removes the need to replace costly shafts when they break.
Greg Shipley continued: ‘The Crush Force Mini Cone 250 will be a valuable new product within the Crushers-UK range. This is a totally new product; there is nothing similar currently on the UK market, to the best of our knowledge.’
