Raising the bar

Weighing system manufacturers H & H Services have helped increase productivity and savings for their clients in contract crushing by providing a belt weigher that can be installed on any type of crusher.

Banner Contracts, who crush large quantities of aggregates on a daily basis, wanted a weighing system that would eliminate the need for independent material surveys, so they approached H & H for their 275 single-idler belt-weigher system.

Designed to accurately measure crushed ore, sand, gravel and other bulk materials, the 275 model is quick and easy to install. It can be mounted on to conveyor stringers using only four bolts, and mountings can be modified for installation on mobile crushers.

‘We initially approached H & H for the quick installation of a unit on to one of our crushers,’ said Jo Banner, managing director of Banner Contracts. ‘However, the accuracy of the 275 system, along with its ease of installation, led us to install further units on our Extec and Metso crushers. The system is versatile and cost-effective since it saves on independent surveys which, in the long run, can be expensive.’
