Quarry Academy seminar scholarship winner announced
University student Evan McCorkle announced as winner of 2023 Quarry Academy scholarship
EVAN McCorkle, a mining engineering student from the Missouri University of Science & Technology, has won the 2023 Quarry Academy scholarship. Organized by Sandvik and Dyno Nobel, the Quarry Academy seminar is designed for those who serve in the aggregates industry and focuses on teaching participants how to produce aggregate products efficiently.
Greg Tranor, senior vice-president of strategic marketing and bulk product management at Dyno Nobel, said: ‘We are proud to present the scholarship to a truly exceptional student, Evan McCorkle. This scholarship symbolizes our commitment to fostering education and innovation in the mining industry. The 17th Quarry Academy seminar took place from 14–16 November 2023 in San Antonio, Texas.
