Plantforce bolster top team with new CFO
Charles Murphy appointed as chief financial officer to help deliver firm’s growth strategy
CHARLES Murphy has joined Plantforce as chief financial officer, bringing with him a wealth of experience as and adding depth to the firm’s senior management team. His experience in the construction sector and beyond will help deliver the Tier 1 plant hire firm ongoing growth strategy.
With over 20 years of experience, Mr Murphy will bring a fresh perspective to the diverse management team at Plantforce, led by chief executive officer Claire Trott. With significant experience as finance director for Space Engineering and, more recently, as a divisional finance director for mechanical and electrical contracting and build specialists Integral, he replaces the outgoing David Searle.
Commenting on his appointment, Mr Murphy said: ‘From our first conversations about the role, I found the energy and positive attitude of the team contagious. The team has a deep understanding of the industry and what our customers want and need, which puts us in a great position to deliver on our medium- and long-term growth strategy.’
With Plantforce already a Tier 1 supplier on some of the largest construction projects in Europe, such as HS2 and Hinkley Point C, this appointment will ensure the company’s numbers are in good order as they continue to grow, with several approved supplier deals signed with large principal contractors in recent months.
