PIX Hydraulics launch new hose range

Latest Bastion hydraulic hose designed to withstand the most adverse conditions in mining and quarrying

PIX HYDRAULICS (Europe) Ltd, the European hydraulics arm of PIX Transmissions, have introduced a new range of hydraulic hoses.

As part of a programme of delivering product improvements and innovative solutions, the company has developed the Bastion series to outperform standard hoses when used in heavy-duty systems and applications where components are subjected to high abrasion exposure and extreme environmental conditions, such as temperature, UV and ozone.

The Bastion hose has also achieved US Mine Safety and Health Administration certification due to its flame-resistant and antistatic properties. And thanks to a wide range of fluid compatibility, applications for the hose range include: quarrying; underground/open pit mining; and marine/offshore work.

Karan Sethi, operations director for PIX Hydraulics, said: ‘As applications and working environments for hydraulic hoses get more complex, our Bastion range will allow customers to effectively use the hose in the most adverse conditions. The product has been engineered in a way that allows it to exhibit superior performance qualities while withstanding the harsh environments prevalent in mines and quarries.’

The Bastion hose range includes: 1SN, 2SN 1SC and 2SC standard braided hoses; and 4SP, 4SH, R12, R13 and R15 standard multi-spiral hoses.
