New wheel loaders from Kramer

German equipment manufacturer launches latest compact 550 and 650 loader models

KRAMER, the wheel loader specialists from Pfullendorf, have unveiled two new models, the 550 and 650, in the 0.6 cubic metre class. The company has ensured greater working efficiency and economy in both models to offer customers the full loader performance of a ‘big machine’ but in a more compact design and with an optimized power-to-weight ratio.

Norbert Mingau, product manager for Kramer, commented: ‘The 550 and 650 models embody our many years of expertise in the development of compact machinery. They also demonstrate our sensitivity to the needs of the market and our practical, customer-focused implementation of this expertise. Initial feedback has been so positive that we expect both machines to become best-sellers.’

Utilizing efficient hydraulics and traction drive, the wheel loaders require less power and, as a result, are economical. To achieve compact dimensions, superior manoeuvrability and a short tail swing profile; the engines in the compact models are fitted lengthways.

The load arm of the parallel telescopic arm has been designed to achieve maximum reach, allowing loads such as pallets to be moved in and out from the second row. An optional load stabilizer also improves safety and comfort while protecting the machine.

As with all Kramer wheel loaders, both the 550 and 650 loaders use the company’s non-articulated chassis. This construction method offers high stability due to the constant centre of gravity and means that even in very tight curves imbalance or, in extreme cases, tipping over is avoided.

Operators will also benefit from the all-wheel steering mechanism on the compact models, which makes materials handling quicker and efficient.
