New Volvo L25F for Richard Williams

Volvo L25F compact wheel loader

New venture at North Wales builders’ merchant opens an opportunity for a Volvo compact loader

A NEW Volvo L25F compact wheel loader has been supplied to builders’ merchants Richard Williams (Deganwy) Ltd and put in charge of the company’s new venture supplying sand and aggregate at its facility in Ruthin, North Wales.

The L25F loader chosen for the new venture was delivered complete with a standard 0.85 cubic metre bucket, a set of pallet forks and a bespoke Strimech one-tonne bag-filling bucket by Volvo Construction Equipment’s local utility dealer, Seddons Engineering.

The 4.8-tonne L25F is powered by a Volvo 3.6-litre oil/air-cooled engine, coupled to a fully hydrostatic transmission, that develops 58.6hp and provides a maximum torque of 190Nm at 1,700 rev/min.

The machine has two speed ranges with a maximum top speed of 20km/h, and has a full-turn tipping load capacity of 3,800kg and a forward reach of 1.47m.

The L25F is Richard William’s second Volvo machine following the delivery of a slightly larger L30B model to the company’s other site at Llandudno Junction six years ago.
