Company strengthens partnership with Volumech with its first Cemen Tech C60 mixer

SUTTON Coldfield-based GB Concrete have taken delivery of their first new Cemen Tech C60 volumetric concrete mixer from Volumech, marking the next stage in the company’s fleet modernization programme.

The fast-growing business originally worked with Volumech, a subsidiary of Cemen Tech, for servicing and repairs before expanding the relationship into technical support and, most recently, equipment supply.

Kieran Blaney, operations manager at GB Concrete, said: ‘We have built a good relationship with Volumech over the last 12 months. It began with servicing from the workshop and then developed into purchasing and parts.

‘We also turned to them for technical support when working towards our BSI accreditation. From top to bottom – whether it’s the engineers, technical team, or office staff – everyone at Volumech has been extremely supportive and genuinely invested in helping us grow as a business. They are not just there to sell a vehicle.’

The company has plans to purchase two further volumetric concrete mixers over the next three years as part of its strategy to modernize operations and prepare for regulatory changes in 2028.

Steve Cartwright, general manager at Volumech, said: ‘We are delighted that GB Concrete have purchased their first new volumetric mixer from us. Our relationship with GB Concrete is built on trust and reliability. Supporting them through servicing, parts, technical requirements, and now sales, demonstrates the complete, 360-degree service we can offer to our customers.’

Volumech provided full calibration and operator training during the handover and will continue to support GB Concrete with ongoing technical expertise.
