New product and web site update
Flexco have introduced Flex-Lifter, a conveyor belt lifter with a 1,810kg safe lift rating, said to be the highest rating currently available.
The tool is designed to safely lift fully loaded troughed or flat conveyor belts. It lifts troughed belts using adjustable wings, and flat return belts using a return lift bar that is included with each unit.
The Flex-Lifter is available in two models — Medium for belt widths ranging from 900mm to 1,500mm, and Large for 1,200mm to 1,800mm belts. Adjustable extension legs slide out to fit the conveyor structure, allowing lifts to be carried out from underneath the belt without the need for potentially damaging clamps on the belt’s edges or cover.
Both models are designed for safety and operating efficiency. When raised they provide ample workspace for safe, easy changing of worn idler rollers, maintaining impact beds or establishing a splicing station for belt repairs. The Medium model achieves a vertical lift of 350mm, while the Large model reaches 400mm. They can be operated by a ratchet, drill motor or impact wrench.
Standing just 169mm high in the closed position, the units fit and extend easily in confined areas. A carrying handle makes them easy to transport and place in different locations along the conveyor belt line. Both units are made from anodized aluminium for long-lasting durability. Stainless steel moveable pins provide corrosion resistance.
Flexco have also updated their web site (www.flexco.com) to feature: product rotation data; animated industry adverts; industry facts and news; technical tips; a video library; a full site in Spanish and mini sites in German, French and Portuguese.
Visitors can search for products by selecting ‘Products’, identifying their industry and then letting the site display relevant products. Alternatively, they can use the ‘Search’ feature found at the top of every page by entering a keyword, such as a brand name, product type or product function.
The new site offers selection guide charts linked from each product web page. These pages also feature a ‘related products’ box that links to other products that may of interest.
Also new to the site is a PDF literature library that is searchable by language and provides literature for many of Flexco’s products. A new comprehensive video library includes material that runs for over 1h 15min and includes belt preparation and squaring procedures, lacer operating instructions, and product installation information.
