New I12-R tracked impact crusher from Anaconda

Anaconda I12-R crusher

Anaconda introduce versatile mid-sized tracked impact crusher for quarrying and recycling applications

DESIGNED predominately for quarrying and recycling applications, the all-new Anaconda I12-R tracked impact crusher is versatile, mid-sized machine featuring a 43in (1,090mm) diameter four-bar rotor and a 45in (1,140mm) wide Universal Crushers impact chamber that is said to deliver excellent reduction, continuous production, and a consistent product shape.

The I12-R features a large hopper area and an aggressive vibrating pan feeder with a two-tier grizzly section to remove fines and help facilitate the movement of the feed material towards the impact chamber. An optional pre-screen can also be fitted before the chamber to further aid fines removal and reduce unnecessary wear on the chamber.

Like the rest of the Anaconda crusher range, in Europe and the US the I12-R is powered by a Stage V Cummins L9 high-performance engine which reduces emission levels to almost zero. The new after-treatment system utilizes SCR and DPF, thereby eliminating exhaust gas recirculation, making maintenance easier and allowing power and torque to be increased.

The machine’s recirculation kit includes an additional double-deck screenbox after the crushing chamber. This feeds into either the auxiliary recirculation conveyor or the tail conveyor to join the finished product. The recirculation screen can be quickly detached to convert the machine into a standard I12 unit.

Anaconda’s managing director, Alistair Forsyth, said: ‘The Anaconda I12-R comes outfitted with a 43in x 45in McLanahan Universal Crushers impact chamber. With over 100 years of knowledge and experience installing more than 7,000 impact chambers worldwide, this partnership brings to market a true workhorse of a tracked impact crusher.

‘The 14ft stepped-deck vibrating grizzly feeder can be fitted with bofor bars, fingers or punch plate, along with a bottom deck mesh to pre-screen the material before it is fed into the crusher chamber. The four-bar, variable-speed, 43in rotor delivers high-performance impact crushing in a variety of applications.

‘The I12-R comes complete with a double-deck screenbox that allows for both the top- and bottom-deck material to be fed back into the returns conveyor to maximize the screening performance or, alternatively, for the second product to be discharged either to the side of the machine or on to an optional discharge conveyor.’

Anaconda crushing engineer Barry McCullagh added: ‘The Anaconda I12-R combines the productivity of the super-efficient direct-drive Universal 45in impact crushing chamber with the versatility of a full screening and recirculating system, allowing operators to produce a crushed and screened product with one machine.

‘The combination of the impactor with the high-energy screen and recirculating conveyor offers maximum productivity on a small footprint. The return offers the option to recirculate oversize to the hopper or radial out 90° to stockpile.’
