New i series indicators from Precia-Molen
Precia-Molen replace existing weight indicator range with four new i-series models with additional functions
FOLLOWING years of research and development, weighing specialists Precia-Molen have introduced their new i-series weight indicators, which offer an increased number of functions.
Replacing an existing range of instrumentation and with four models available (the i20, i30, i35 and i40), the new range can accommodate both vessel weighing and the weighing of products, providing an interface between the weighing platform and management systems or integration into any plant process requiring weight measurement.
Developed as an aid to preventative maintenance and remote system monitoring, the new range provides weighing information to management or automation applications via the latest software tools (USB, Ethernet, Fieldbus etc), while maintaining ease of implementation and use.
Moreover, to limit their carbon footprint, the new i-series indicators are said to consume 10 times less power, on a ‘like for like basis’, than the models they replace, while LifePo4 technology limits any environmental impact as the integrated battery is manufactured without the use of toxic elements. An ATEX version prevents any risk of explosion in the event of shock or short circuit.
Key features of the new i series include: IP66 stainless steel housing for wall or table mounting; extended range of operating temperatures; EC-approved 2 x 6,000 divisions with Vmin per division – 0.5µV; mains power or integrated LifePo4 battery; FSC high-contrast, low-energy LCD colour display (seven background colours); and configuration by soft-touch keys or via PC using an Internet browser.
