New Holland to unveil Tier IV Interim engines
Construction equipment manufacturer to showcase new products and technologies at Samoter 2011
NEW Holland Construction will be presenting one of the largest displays of Tier IV Interim solutions as well as exhibiting brand new wheel loaders and crawler excavators at Samoter 2011 (2–6 March).
The new E305C crawler excavator and two new wheel loader models – the W170C and W190C – will all feature the company’s Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology, which has been specially designed to achieve compliance with Tier IV interim emissions regulations.
SCR is an after-treatment system that breaks down nitrogen oxide into nitrogen and water through a chemical reaction using a diesel exhaust fluid, AdBlue. According to New Holland, their SCR solution helps optimize the combustion process for maximum efficiency with less fuel consumed but more power generated.
The E305C crawler excavator, for example, is said to offer a 10% increase in productivity, in terms of cubic meters per hour, and a 10% reduction in fuel consumption in ECO mode, compared with the equivalent B-Series model.
Equipped with high-pressure common-rail engines, the W170C and W190C wheel loaders have been designed to achieve 9–17% improvement in fuel economy compared with the equivalent B-Series models.
As well as launching Tier IV Interim-compliant products, New Holland will also be introducing new features to their backhoe loaders at Samoter 2011.
